Through the Red Door

When it comes to hole-in-the-wall diners, Clary’s gives you the quintessential experience. Whether you are waking up on the weekend wanting brunch, or simply grabbing a quick breakfast during the week before work, head on over to Clary’s for some out-of-the box creative delights.

I came to know this magnificent place because one of my best friends brought me for breakfast. After reading over the menu, we ordered 7 or 8 dishes between the four of us and I immediately knew this place was special and I had to bring the Lyfe Choyces team.

This hidden gem in Lake Worth, Florida will amaze you from the moment you walk through their signature, red-painted door. It has an easy, homey feel as your entrance is through the back of a house and requires passing right by Chef Lou. And of course, there’s Victoria saying hi from the counter as her regulars stroll in and find their favorite seat.

When I got to spend time behind the line filming our Youtube segment at Clary’s, I had a chance to really get to know these two ladies that are the backbone of this restaurant. Not only is their food knowledge impressive, but their entire menu is made from scratch and pure passion. Victoria has taken the food to the next level and we had the chance to try 4 of their unique, signature dishes. Now, let’s dive into the details!

First up, we have the Maryland Crab Cake Benedict. This spin on the classic benedict is the real deal, with no fillers – making the crab meat the star of this dish. It tastes just like crab should, with perfectly poached eggs, a crispy toasted english muffin, and of course, delicious creamy hollandaise sauce accompanied by potatoes cooked three different methods. Your taste buds will be rocked!

Next, we had the South Your Mouth Skillet that gives you a sweet, tangy shredded ham of deliciousness with a southern feel – mouth-watering potatoes with a dash of cheese, and no skillet is complete without two eggs of your choice on top!

Then, we had Clary’s spin on the classic chicken and waffles that will leave you curious. Their take on this dish starts off with golden brown deep fried hand breaded chicken and paired with a cornbread french toast…you heard that right. And let me tell you, this cornbread french toast is to die for. Not to mention, this dish comes with two maple syrups that are made in house.

Last, but certainly not least, we had the most mind-blowing french toast. Let me introduce you to Grandma Lida’s Pecan Sticky Bun French Toast, a must-order dish for you to share with the table. This sweet, warm baked, scrumptious dish comes with homemade caramel toasted pecans and a dash of cinnamon. Trust me when I say that you will be fighting for the last piece.

It is worth mentioning that our team tried those 4 dishes mentioned above, but Clary’s has a large lunch menu to cover anyone’s cravings. All your favorite sandwiches from traditional Cuban to authentic Philly cheese steaks, smoked brisket, Poboy’s, and even B.E.L.T. – the options are endless and you’ll be coming back for months, trying to eat your way through the menu. All of this and so many more wonderful creations are on Clary’s menu and will have you becoming a regular in restaurant or at home for delivery!

From the moment you walk through that signature, red-painted door until the time you walk (or have to be rolled) out of Clary’s, you’ll have a huge smile on your face & a satisfied stomach. Clary’s gets a 5 out of 5 TASTE BUDS from the Birdman.

If you have a chance to visit Clary’s yourself, be sure to comment below your favorite dish!

As always, it’s your move.
