Always in My Head

Some have said I am a daydreamer, a believer in others, a cup-half-full type of human. I have been told that “even in a large group of people you seem to be alone.”

In my own thoughts, I often find myself dreaming of times I have not yet experienced. Always being in hope, hope of others, hope of things not yet created.

I’ve been fortunate to have traveled this world in ways others only dream of. I’ve come in and out of ports and watched the sun kiss away the fog for many new days, for new chances to do better, to do more. Cruising around this world, I’ve been touched by this earth’s infectious beauty.

Mind full of thoughts – I’m not sure who to share them with. Who is ready to hear what I have inside of me. Will I become the inspiration I want to be for others?

An overwhelming feeling of emotion comes over me as I sit in the pilot house, watching the world pass by, as I am on my way to my next destination. Out in the open oceans, the words of others fill my ears and create new feelings that inspire my mind and tell me what it is I want to accomplish next for all of you.  The lyrics of songs I am hearing for the first time reach the core of my soul and put me in a creative mood. The words sing to me as if we are in the same room.

Sharing our innermost thoughts is not always easy, in fact, the thought of doing so is scary for most. These thoughts are what define who we are, how our soul interprets this world around us. We can do so much more if we can articulate these thoughts without the worry of judgement. There are those who will appreciate you taking the risk of sharing. You will help others realize that they are not the only ones with these thoughts.

For you, I will do this. I am not scared of what others may think, as long as one – just one of you – may be touched, inspired, motivated by my words.

I find comfort in my thoughts, comfort in sharing, comfort in you listening.
