Italy is such a popular destination for people to travel to and it lives up to all of the hype for sure. The streets are packed with good food, good people, and good vibes! Keep reading to discover the “must-do’s” is this region.
Piazzale Michelangelo, Florence, Italy
You guys know I’m all about finding the best spots for the sunsets, and hiking to the top of Piazzale Michelangelo is definitely worth it. Not only is the view spectacular in the evening, but any time of day is the perfect time to admire the insane architecture around the city while also checking out some local vendors in the area. Definitely give this place a chance!
Trattoria Antellesi, Florence, Italy
This restaurant has the best steak I’ve ever eaten and trust me, that’s saying a lot. With it being only steps away from historic cathedrals in the center of Florence, it makes it the perfect restaurant to go to after a long day of exploring the city.
Cinque Terre
Meaning “Five Lands”, Cinque Terre consists of the coastal towns Monterosso, Vernazza, Corniglia, Manarola, and Riomaggiore. The five towns are all unique in their own way and I recommend that you discover the beauty of each of them rather than just visiting one. There are plenty of hikes—and most importantly, food— to discover from town to town, and the locals are visitors alike are just too kind!
Santa Maria del Fiore Cathedral, Florence, Italy
You guys know I can’t write a post without including some sick piece of architecture. This duomo is covered with artwork all around the ceilings but one thing I must add is to dress appropriately when entering. Clothing should be below the knees and shoulders covered out of respect and tradition. So make sure to bring some longer clothes because regardless of what time of year you come here, you need to visit this place!!
Peace,
